Microsoft revealed a $1 billion artificial intelligence investment in Spain
Over the next two years, Microsoft plans to invest an additional $2.1 billion on cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence in Spain, according to Brad Smith, president of the firm.
He claims that the investment is “a testament to Spain’s 37-year commitment to Spain, its security, development, and digital transformation of its government, businesses, and people” and extends beyond simply constructing data centers.
Pedro Sanchez, the president of the nation, hailed Smith for his confidence in the Spanish economy and released a picture from their meeting.
Microsoft’s action follows its announcement that it will invest $3.44 billion over the next two years in Germany’s AI business.
